About The Bridgehampton Half

The Bridgehampton Half Marathon in Bridgehampton, New York on 6 May, 2023 is an excellent race to consider for runners looking for a unique and scenic running experience. The 13.1-mile course winds through the picturesque landscape of Long Island’s East End, taking participants past historic homes, farms, vineyards and even the ocean shoreline.

The route begins at Bridgehampton’s iconic Main Street before heading southward along Sagg Road towards Sagaponack. Runners will then turn onto Scuttlehole Road where they will be surrounded by lush greenery from the neighboring farms and estates as well as gorgeous views of Mecox Bay. After passing near Water Mill Village Park, runners will cross Noyac Creek via a bridge before entering into North Sea Harbor where they will be treated to spectacular views of Peconic Bay with its white sandy beaches. From there it’s a relatively flat stretch back up Sagg Road towards Main Street in downtown Bridgehampton where the race finishes with a downhill sprint to the finish line!

May is usually quite pleasant weather-wise on Long Island – temperatures are generally mild (high 70s) but can vary depending on conditions so come prepared! Participants should also expect plenty of support during their run – locals come out en masse to cheer runners along throughout each mile marker while volunteers provide water at various stations located around the course. It’s always fun when you get that extra boost from those cheering you on – especially during tough patches!

Overall this half marathon offers something special – beautiful scenery combined with a challenging yet manageable course make it stand out from other races out there today. If you have never participated in this event before I would highly recommend giving it a go – you won’t regret it!
