About The Center of the Nation Series – Day 1

The Half Marathon race Center of the Nation Series – Day 1 in Sterling, Colorado on 2 October, 2023 is an event that is sure to be remembered. The route begins at Pioneer Park and runs through the beautiful countryside of northeast Colorado. Runners get a chance to experience some of the most stunning views around while they traverse rolling hills and valleys. As you run along this course you will pass by farms and ranches, fields of wildflowers, ranchlands with grazing horses, as well as historic sites such as old homesteads and abandoned churches.

The scenery for this race is breathtaking! You can expect warm sunny days in October with temperatures ranging from mid-50s to low 80s during the day. It’s a great time for running since it’s not too hot or cold out there so you can really enjoy your run without worrying about weather conditions being too extreme either way.

As for what crowds are like at this half marathon? They typically range from competitive athletes pushing themselves to first-timers just starting out their journey into running longer distances. Everyone tends to be super supportive of one another no matter if they’re fast or slow; which makes the atmosphere very fun and encouraging throughout all parts of the race!

One special aspect about this particular half marathon is that it’s part of a series known as “Center Of The Nation” – meaning it takes place right in between several major cities such as Denver, Omaha & Kansas City – making it accessible for runners who may want/need to travel further distances but still have accessible races nearby them! This also makes Sterling an ideal location for people wanting a peaceful escape away from hustle & bustle of city life during their training or racing season! Overall I would highly recommend signing up for this amazing half marathon: its scenic routes make it perfect both experienced runners looking for something new & exciting, or those just getting started on their running journey!
