About The Fathers Day Half Marathon

The Fathers Day Half Marathon in Long Beach, California is an exciting race for people of all ages and skill levels. The course takes runners through the beautiful city of Long Beach, offering a variety of scenic views along the way.

Starting at the downtown waterfront, runners will follow a winding route that leads them around the harbor and through some of Long Beach’s most iconic neighborhoods. As they make their way towards Belmont Shore and Naples Island, they’ll be surrounded by palm trees and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. After looping back to downtown via Alamitos Bay Beach Park, participants will finish with a triumphant run up Pine Avenue to reach their final destination on Rainbow Promenade Park.

Weather-wise, June marks the beginning of summer in Southern California so temperatures are typically warm but comfortable for running during this time – good news for those who have been training all year long! Be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen though as it can get quite sunny out there during midday hours.

The half marathon is well-known among local residents as being one of the more fun races in town due its festive atmosphere; you can expect lots cheering crowds along with upbeat music playing throughout much course which really helps keep spirits high (especially if you’re struggling near mile 11!). Plus since it falls on Father’s Day each year there are usually several special activities set up just for dads like post-race BBQs or even discounted beer tastings at local breweries. All in all it makes for an enjoyable experience not only for racers but also spectators alike!

Overall I would highly recommend participating in this event whether you are looking to challenge yourself physically or simply want to enjoy a day out with your family members or friends! With its perfect balance between challenging terrain and breathtaking ocean views plus an added bonus from celebrating Father’s Day – what could be better!?
