About The Fit for Ag / Jingle Bell Jog Half Marathon
The Fit for Ag / Jingle Bell Jog Half Marathon in Madison, Mississippi on 10 December 2022 is a great race to add to your calendar. The route of the half marathon is relatively flat and allows you to appreciate the beauty of Madison without pushing yourself too hard.
You will start off in downtown Madison and make your way through residential neighborhoods before heading southward toward the Ross Barnett Reservoir. Here, you’ll get some stunning views of nature as you run around the lake. The final stretch brings you back into town with lovely scenery along Main Street before finishing up at Freedom Ridge Park.
December weather in Mississippi can be quite mild, so expect temperatures around 50°F during this time of year – perfect for running! There are usually no extreme weather conditions during this time period so it’s a great opportunity for runners who may not have experienced such pleasant conditions before. Plus, if there happens to be precipitation during your race day it won’t cause any major disruptions since most roads are well-maintained.
The crowds at this event tend to be quite supportive and encouraging throughout the entire course which makes it even more enjoyable! And if that isn’t enough motivation while out on the course then maybe seeing Santa Claus himself near mile 11 will do the trick – he’s been known to make an appearance here each year!
