About The Groves Trail Run

The Groves Trail Run is an exciting and challenging half marathon race that takes place on September 7, 2024, in the beautiful town of Loma Mar, CA. This event is organized by Pacific Coast Trail Runs and promises to be a memorable experience for all participants, including runners and volunteers.

The race takes place in the stunning Pescadero Creek Park Complex in San Mateo County. The course will lead runners through three breathtaking parks: Pescadero Creek, Sam McDonald Park, and Memorial Park. Participants will have the opportunity to run or hike through some of the largest redwood groves in the world, immersing themselves in the natural beauty of the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Whether you are an experienced trail runner or new to the sport, the Groves Trail Run offers something for everyone. The half marathon distance covers 13.31 miles of challenging terrain, with a time limit of 8 hours. Hikers are also welcome to join the race and enjoy the scenic route at their own pace.

In addition to the stunning course, entrants will receive a high-quality event shirt, a speed cup by Hydrapak, and a beautiful finisher medal designed by Trailblazer Designworks. After crossing the finish line, runners will be treated to a delicious post-race meal prepared by Food Network Celebrity Chef Yaku Moton-Spruill, with a vegetarian option available.
