About The Mercer County Half Marathon

The Mercer County Half Marathon in Robbinsville, New Jersey on 3 September 2023 is a great race for both experienced and novice runners. The course winds through some of the most beautiful parts of central New Jersey, including historic Princeton University and the picturesque Delaware River Valley.

The route starts at Veterans Park in Robbinsville, heading east towards Hightstown before turning south towards Princeton. Runners can take in sights such as the Harvard Square Historic District, Nassau Hall at Princeton University, and the scenic views along Lake Carnegie and Stony Brook Millstone Watershed Reserve. From there, it’s a flat stretch down to Washington Crossing State Park where you’ll be able to see George Washington’s crossing site accompanied by breathtaking views of the Delaware River Valley. After completing this portion of your journey you will make your way back north to finish up at Veterans Park again.

In terms of weather conditions during this time period (late summer/early fall), temperatures tend to stay quite moderate with highs averaging in the mid 70s Fahrenheit throughout September (which are perfect running temperatures). Rainfall is generally light so you shouldn’t have any problems running on wet surfaces either!

As far as crowds go; expect large numbers due to this being one of the more popular half-marathons around! You can look forward to seeing cheering spectators lining your entire route who come out each year just for this event alone – making it an incredibly rewarding experience from start to finish.

Finally; what makes this particular half marathon special is that all proceeds from entry fees are donated directly back into local charities which benefits those within Mercer County directly – something we think should be celebrated! All-in-all if you’re looking for an exciting race within easy reach then we highly recommend signing up for The Mercer Country Half Marathon – it really does offer something special compared to other races around!
