About The NYC Lives Half Marathon

The NYC Lives Half Marathon in Brooklyn, New York is an exciting event that takes place every year on the 10th of September. The race begins at Prospect Park and winds its way through some of the most iconic neighborhoods in Brooklyn including Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Gowanus and Red Hook. Along the route runners will get views of stunning scenery such as beautiful parks and historical architecture.

The typical weather for this time of year is warm but bearable with temperatures usually around 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 Celsius). It can also be quite humid so it’s important to stay hydrated throughout your run.

The crowds cheering you on during the race are very supportive and enthusiastic – no matter what pace you’re running at! Many spectators come out just to watch so expect a lot of friendly faces throughout your journey. There may even be live music playing from local bands stationed along various points in the course which adds to that extra cheer!

One special feature about this half marathon is its dedication to charity; all proceeds go towards helping those affected by Hurricane Sandy back in 2012. This helps bring attention to how many people were affected by this natural disaster while giving participants a great reason to run! Plus there are lots of fun activities afterwards such as a post-race party where everyone can relax and celebrate their accomplishments together with friends or family members who cheered them on along the way.

Overall, I highly recommend signing up for NYC Lives Half Marathon if you’re looking for an inspiring outdoor adventure that combines challenging terrain with beautiful scenery surrounded by passionate supporters!
