About The Park City Trail Series
The Park City Trail Series Half Marathon is a great race for those seeking an unforgettable running experience in the outdoors. The 13.1-mile course takes runners through the stunning trails of Park City, Utah, with incredible views of the Wasatch Mountains and beautiful forests along the way.
The route itself is challenging yet rewarding, beginning at Parley’s Historic Nature Park and heading up to Guardsman Pass before looping around onto Mill Creek Canyon Road and back to Parley’s Park. Runners will enjoy winding single track trails as they climb to higher elevations before descending down into lush forested areas filled with pine trees and wildlife. It’s truly a breathtaking run!
In terms of weather conditions during this time of year (June), expect temperatures ranging from 65-75 degrees Fahrenheit throughout your run, although it can be cooler or warmer depending on how hot or cold it has been leading up to race day. You should also be prepared for some snowfall as you get further into higher elevation portions of the course since snow lingers well into June in Utah’s mountainous regions.
As for crowds, there are usually several hundred participants that show up for this event each year so you’ll definitely have plenty of company out on the course! Plus you’ll have plenty of support from enthusiastic volunteers who cheer everyone on from start to finish which makes crossing that finish line even more exhilarating! There are also aid stations located along every mile marker offering water, snacks and medical assistance if needed – something every runner appreciates when taking part in such a long distance event like this one!
