About The Quilcene Oyster Races

The Quilcene Oyster Races, held on September 15, 2024, in Quilcene, WA, promise an unforgettable experience for half marathon enthusiasts. Nestled on the tranquil Olympic Peninsula, this race takes runners through enchanting woodlands, along picturesque waterways, and against a breathtaking mountainous backdrop. By participating in this race, runners also contribute to two remarkable causes – the Quilcene-Brinnon Dollars for Scholars and Count Me In For Quilcene. Supporting scholarships for high school seniors and college undergrads, as well as enhancing the local community, adds an extra sense of purpose to this already outstanding event.

To ensure the highest standards of racing, the Half Marathon and 10K races are USATF Sanctioned and Certified. Starting and finishing at the awe-inspiring Worthington Park, home to the recently restored Victorian-era Worthington Mansion, participants will be treated to not only great scenery but also the enthusiastic support of dedicated volunteers.

By registering for the Quilcene Oyster Races, runners will receive a commemorative Finisher Medal as a keepsake. After crossing the finish line, they can savor the local oysters and indulge in a refreshing local craft beer (for those 21 and older). Additionally, participants can enjoy a free open house at Worthington Mansion, immersing themselves in the history and charm of the area.
