About The Turkey Chase

The Turkey Chase half marathon race, held on 18th November 2023 in Cary, NC, is a fantastic opportunity for runners to burn off those Thanksgiving indulgences. Organized by Fit & Able, this event offers participants the choice of three distances: a 5K, 10K, and the half marathon.

One of the intriguing aspects of this race is the opportunity to set a new course record and win a $10 gift code. Currently, the male and female records for the 5K and 10K races are held by C. Silver, C. Quinn, J. Lindenaur, and S. Page respectively. However, the half marathon course records are currently empty, presenting a great chance for ambitious runners to make their mark.

In addition to the exciting race options, participants in the in-person or virtual 5K, 10K, or 13.1 have a chance to win a free year of Fit & Able-owned races. This incredible prize, valued at nearly $1,000, will be randomly drawn after the in-person race, providing even more incentive to lace up your running shoes.

Cary, NC, where the race takes place, is a vibrant city known for its beautiful parks, cultural diversity, and excellent running infrastructure. With temperate weather in November, participants can expect a comfortable race environment, making it the perfect time to engage in outdoor activities.
