About The Twin Lights Half Marathon

The Twin Lights Half Marathon in Gloucester, Massachusetts is a great event for anyone looking to challenge themselves with a scenic and enjoyable run. The race takes place on the 30th of April 2023, giving runners plenty of time to prepare.

The course winds along picturesque oceanfront paths throughout the area, taking you through some of the most beautiful scenery that Cape Ann has to offer. You’ll have breathtaking views of Gloucester Harbor and Eastern Point Light as well as stunning views of Ipswich Bay and Crane Beach. There are several hills along the way, but nothing too strenuous or difficult – just enough to give your legs a good workout!

April weather in this part of Massachusetts can be unpredictable, so come prepared for anything from chilly temperatures in the morning to warm sunshine later in the day. On average though it’s usually sunny with mild temperatures around 10-15°C (50-60°F).

You won’t find huge crowds here – Twin Lights Half Marathon draws mainly locals and experienced runners who know what they’re getting into when they sign up for this challenging course. Everyone is friendly and supportive regardless if they’re running or cheering you on from sidelines so it makes for an incredibly positive atmosphere throughout the race!

What really sets this half marathon apart is its historical significance: The starting line is located at Fort Strong Park which was originally built during World War I; then there’s Eastern Point Light House which served as an important beacon warning seafarers away from jagged rocks near shore; finally there’s Stage Fort Park where participants cross over a replica drawbridge reminiscent of olden days! With all these sights you’ll definitely feel like you’ve been taken back in time while still enjoying one amazing running experience!
