About The Urban Cow Half Marathon

The Urban Cow Half Marathon in Sacramento, California is a great way to explore the city and its surrounding areas. The race will take place on 30 September 2023 and it promises to be an exciting event for runners of all levels.

For those who don’t know, the route of this half marathon starts at Fremont Park and then makes its way through downtown Sacramento, taking in some amazing sights along the way. Runners will pass by landmarks such as Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park before heading out into the countryside where they can enjoy breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and American River. The course also takes you through several local neighborhoods including Midtown, East Sac and West Sac which offer a unique perspective on life in Sacramento.

In terms of weather conditions, it typically stays warm throughout September with temperatures ranging between 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit during the day, so runners should come prepared with plenty of water and sunscreen if necessary. As far as crowds go, there are usually large numbers of supportive spectators cheering participants on from start to finish which really helps to keep morale high! It’s always nice when people show up to support their favorite athletes or just pay tribute to all those running for charity causes like cancer research or homeless shelters that make this event even more special than it already is.
