Wickenburg's Wild West Run

Giddy-on-up to the Annual Wickenburg's Wild West Run! Cinch up your shoes, secure your hat, and come run (or walk!) through Arizona's most western town.     All runs will start the Vulture City Ghost Town.  You will have an opportunity to run through the Ghost Town.  All runs are out and back along Vulture Mine Rd. The route will have desert views with mountains views at the distance. Running South along Vulture Mine Rd until you reach the turnaround gives participants a picturesque view of Wickenburg and its surrounding beauty.  You won't find a more beautiful run in all of Arizona.  Enjoy your run!  And yes!  You can run in your spurs; just don't squat Course Information Here is what you can expect on the new route. For elevation charts please click on the Course tab from the menu. Course Information on all distances- Compacted dirt on the side of the road along Vulture Mine Rd. Runners are to run on the same side of the road going out and coming back.  Runners will never and should not cross the road at any time during the run.    Why the move? Over the years traffic along Vulture Mid Rd has increased and our participants safety is our primary concern.  With traffic increasing and running on the side of the road is a big risk that we don't for our participants to have.  At our new location traffic is very minimal to no traffic which is a lot for safer for all our participants.  Water Stations  We will have a water station at each turn around point;   5k at 1.55  10k at 1.55 & 3.1 15K at 1.55, 3.1 and 4.65 Half Marathon 1.55, 3.1, 4.65, 6.55 If you are running 10K and above, you will run by each water station twice.  Event Details and Schedule Race Information Race-day registration and packet pickup begins at 5:45 a.m. Packets includes t-shirt, and a race bib with timing chip. Shirt sizes are only guaranteed to runners who pre-register. A limited quantity of shirts will be available to race-day registrants. Race Morning Please be sure to arrive early so you are ready to go with your bib/timing chip when your race starts. HM 6:30am 15K 6:45am 10K 7:00am 5K 7:15am Kids Fun Run 8:30am Event T-shirs T-shirt guaranteed if you register before or on 3/29/2027.  Registrations after 3/29/27 will be upon availability.  Race Timing The races will be timed using chip timing. All chips will be distributed race morning with the bibs. Chips are disposable and are attached to the bibs worn throughout the race. Mats at the finish line will record the finishing time for each chip. To ensure accurate timing and tracking during the race, please attach the bib to the front of your shirt or shorts. Kids Fun Run - 8:30am The Kids Fun Run for children 10 and under. Each participant will receive a shirt and a participation medal. The route will be one loop around the Vulture Ghost Town. The loop is about .25 of a mile. Awards Medals will be awarded to the top finishers of the 5k, 10k, 15k and half marathon in each age bracket, male and female. 5K Awards 14 and Under, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 60-69, 70+ 10K Awards 19 and Under, 20-40, 41-60 and 61 and over 15K Awards 19 and Under, 20-40, 41-60 and 61 and over Half Marathon Awards  19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ Best Dressed West Outfits Prizes will be given for the Best Dressed of the West outfits, so don't forget your hat, your 'stache, your spurs, and your chaps, 'cuz you might make off with the loot. Pets Unfortunately, we are unable to allow pets on the course at this time. Strollers Strollers are allowed on the course. However, we ask that you line up towards the back of the start line to ensure the safety of all involved.
