The Experience

Talk Pirate to Me Half Marathon invites runners to celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day with a themed race on the Blossom Trail in Rogers, Arkansas. The course follows a scenic trail through the Ozarks foothills, offering a flat and fast surface ideal for a PR. With three distances—5K, 10K, and half marathon—runners of all abilities can join the fun.

The atmosphere is pure pirate revelry: runners don eye patches and bandanas, and the finish line awaits with custom finisher medals worthy of any treasure chest. Awards go deep into five-year age groups, ensuring everyone has a shot at the booty. The race starts at 8:00 am, with typical September weather in the 60s to 80s—perfect for a spirited run.

Post-race, buccaneers can enjoy the festive spirit and the satisfaction of a well-run adventure. While the event may be small, its charm lies in its lighthearted theme and community feel. Whether you're a seasoned captain or a first-time landlubber, this race offers a unique, memorable morning on the trail.
