2026 Apple Hill Half Marathon & 5K

The Apple Hill Half Marathon threads paved farm roads through the orchards and vineyards of the Sierra foothills near Camino, California, with a 5K and kids' races sharing the morning. Race-day conditions are cool and usually dry — mornings typically sit in the 40s — which suits the distance.

Organizers bill the half as a challenging one, so expect honest foothill running rather than a flat city loop, all of it on pavement. Fields are intimate but growing: roughly 550 finishers, with runners lately arriving from about 10 states and the winning time landing near 85 minutes. Camino's apple country is the scenery, and it's the reason to come.

Age-group winners take home pies from local farms, and the race supports the Camino School PTO — this one is stitched into the town that hosts it. A long-sleeve tech tee, finisher medal, and optional VIP wine package round out the day. It's a small race with a strong sense of place.
