2027 Clarksburg Country Run

For nearly six decades, the Clarksburg Country Run has drawn runners away from city stress into the tranquil Delta farmlands. This flat, USATF-certified course—essentially zero elevation gain—is a PR magnet, and the ~357 finishers in recent years include many who return (about 27% are repeat runners). The route loops through quiet roads, past orchards and old barns, with a simple, unhurried charm.

The morning starts cool and calm, with a small-town volunteer crew handling packet pickup and bibs. The course is open and exposed, so the mild November weather (mid-40s to low 70s) is a boon. There’s no massive crowd, but the aid stations and cheerful locals offer genuine encouragement. The fast times—typical winning half-marathon time around 1:04:42—reflect the speed-friendly profile.

Cross the line and you’re greeted with a finisher medal, a long-sleeve shirt, and a hearty post-race meal plus a beer sample (new this year). The after-party is low-key, with runners lingering in the picnic area, swapping stories. It’s a hidden gem for those who love authentic, community-run events—and a perfect setting for a personal best.
