The Experience
The Hallo-Thanks-Mas Dash in San Diego offers a unique trifecta of holiday spirit, combining Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas themes into a single event. Runners can choose from a 5K, 10K, or half marathon, all starting at Embarcadero Marina Park South.
The course is an out-and-back, primarily on paved paths, with minimal elevation change, making it a potentially fast day for participants. While the course is not closed to the public, clear markings with chalk, signs, and flags guide runners, and on-course support includes water stations.
This event, now in its third year, typically sees participants from around four states. The half marathon has a course closure time of 3 hours and 30 minutes, accommodating a range of paces. Awards are given to the top male and female finishers in each distance, with results and photos available shortly after the race.
