The Experience

Now in its third year, the Jingle Bell Jog is a small, festive half marathon along the Long Beach shoreline. The course runs on paved paths and roads, starting and finishing at Alamitos Beach with ocean views throughout. It's a flat, out-and-back route, ideal for runners seeking a low-pressure PR or a holiday fun run.

With a field of just a couple dozen runners from three states, the atmosphere is intimate and community-driven. Runners dress in holiday attire, adding a dash of seasonal sparkle. The race offers a generous 3-hour, 20-minute time limit, welcoming first-timers and those who prefer a relaxed pace.

Finishers receive a medal and post-race treats. While the event lacks the spectacle of larger races, its simplicity and coastal setting make it a charming way to close out the year.
