The Experience

The 8Th Annual Race is on!   Ready to make the Move and become part of something exciting in San Francisco Bay Area? Are you a Runner/ Walker who is coming to California?   Tie up your shoe laces and on the trail for the historic Look Good Feel Good San  Leandro Marathon race   Every year Runner all over the United States of America gather at San Francisco Bay Area to run for Awesome Cause!  while giving back to  foster education and college scholarship for underserved girls and young adults!  Proceeds benefit the charitable works of the non profit organization called Divine Mercy Family Foundation. Inspired by runners like you, the Look Good Feel Good 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon race for college scholarship takes you through a world of adventure that begins on a flat terrain then goes from paved to trails.   With  5K elevation of 71ft, 10K elevation of 96ft, and Half Marathon elevation of 204ft you are set to cruise the San Francisco bay shoreline. The race is out-and -back.  5K makes a loop and head out towards the bay trail. 10K, half marathoners and marathoners head straight out toward Hayward Bay trail. Water stops are located at 1mile, before the 10K turn around and at the half marathon turn around.  Potty -a -potty is located close to the start and finish line and at the 10K aid station.   You will enjoy breath taking views of the San Leandro shoreline.  With the view of water wrapping around all routes.  You are poised to gaze at San Francisco heading back to the finish line. This race is worth it as the route takes you along the coastlines of the San Leandro marina scenic route.  Enjoy the adventures of nature.  Gaze at the variety of birds and wildlife along the paths.    The route maps are found on this link

https://www.divinemercyfamily.org   The marathon runners will run the half marathon route two times (2x)   

All registered runners will receive finisher medals. Prices will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd runners in  5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon.This is an endurance race.  Will take both physical and mental energy. Here is what to expect for the marathon- ( Half Marathon 2x) At the start the marathon takes off and head out toward the Hayward bay trail to make the first turnaround at the half marathon turnaround before heading back.  At the half marathon turn around, all marathon runners will receive the first bracelet.  Make sure to hydrate and get ice packs at the aid station before heading back to the start line. Get more hydration and energy gels.  Make a U-turn and return to the half marathon turn around to receive the final bracelet.  Having completed the half marathon 2x, runners must proceed to finish line to receive their finisher medals.  A total of 2 bracelets are required to receive the final medal. Always ask for the bracelet at the half marathon turn around.  The marathon cut off time is 6 hours. Although some athletes make it in four (4) hours. The marathon halfway is 4 hours. All marathon runners must complete the halfway point not later than 11:45 am.  This means all marathon runners must  complete their 2x turnaround  at the half marathon turnaround and head out toward the finish line  at 11:45 am.   However, we encourage you to run at your pace.     If you need help along the route  contact the race director - Francisca by phone / Tex at this number (808) 756-2436     Please, run at your go pace.
