Montara Mountain Trail Run

The Montara Mountain Trail Run winds through a rare, undisturbed coastal mountain habitat, a unique ecological treasure along the Pacific coastline. Runners will traverse groves of huckleberry, honeysuckle, lilac, chinquapin, and manzanita, all while being treated to breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.

This event, now in its fifth year, typically sees around 87 finishers, with approximately 20% of participants returning for subsequent editions. Runners from about six states make the journey to Pacifica, CA, for this distinctive race. The course, while offering stunning scenery, presents a challenging climb with significant elevation changes, making it a true test for trail enthusiasts.
