2027 Gulf Beach Half Marathon

The Gulf Beach Half Marathon, first run in 2011 and now in its 16th year, has become a beloved fixture in Connecticut's running scene, earning accolades as the "Half Marathon to do in Connecticut." Runners are drawn to its exceptionally flat and scenic course, which winds along the beautiful beaches of Milford, featuring the Silver Sands State Park Boardwalk.

This USATF-certified course is renowned as a PR-friendly route, with minimal elevation changes promising fast times. The race typically sees around 833 finishers, with a loyal contingent of about 21% returning each year. The 7 a.m. start time is designed to help runners avoid the heat, and aid stations are well-stocked with Poland Spring Water and Gatorade Endurance.

Participants receive tech t-shirts and have the unique choice of two custom finisher medals. The post-race celebration includes Poland Spring Water, Gatorade Endurance, bagels, and bananas, with awards for top finishers in various age divisions. Free downloadable race photos and finisher certificates add to the value of this well-organized event.
