The Experience
Halloween in Miami Beach means costumes on the starting line and ocean air on the course. The Miami Beach Halloween Half Marathon pairs 13.1 miles with a Freaky 4-Miler, drawing a small, steady field of roughly 116 finishers and runners from about 10 states — an intimate, costume-friendly affair rather than a mega-race.
The course runs on road along Miami Beach, and the flat terrain suits runners chasing a fast time — though late-October in South Florida is no joke, with race-day conditions averaging around 73–83°F and 75% humidity. Expect warmth, sun, and a breeze off the water; pace accordingly and hydrate early.
What the race lacks in scale it makes up for in occasion: a Halloween-themed morning on one of America's most recognizable shorelines, with a shorter 4-miler for those not ready for the full distance. It's a niche, destination-flavored event for runners who want a Florida race with a holiday twist.
