Now in its 15th year, the Best Damn Race Safety Harbor draws around 450 runners from over 20 states, with nearly a third returning each year. The half-marathon starts at the historic Safety Harbor Resort & Spa and winds through Philippe Park's shady, tree-lined paths before an out-and-back on the Ream Wilson Trail. The course is USATF certified, pancake-flat, and known as a PR-friendly route.

The race delivers a big-race feel at a local price, with a finish at Safety Harbor Marina Park. Expect a welcoming, community-driven atmosphere with ample support. Whether you're chasing a personal best or tackling your first half, this Florida gem offers a delightful winter escape with solid organization and a strong runner-focused ethos.

Registration Opens on Wednesday, April 29th at Noon (12 pm ET)! The 15th Annual Best Damn Race Safety Harbor features a 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon on Saturday, February 6, 2027. Best Damn Race ® is a running series created for runners by runners. Our goal is to provide a big-race experience at a local-race price. It doesn’t matter if you are an elite runner, a first-timer, a walker, or using a baby jogger; we want you to have the best DAMN race experience.
