The Experience
The Daytona Beach Half Marathon, first run in 2008 and now in its 15th edition, offers a unique journey through the heart of Daytona Beach. Runners begin their adventure at the iconic Daytona International Speedway, embarking on a course that winds past significant local landmarks.
The route showcases sites such as Bethune-Cookman University, the Riverfront Esplanade, Jackie Robinson Ballpark, and the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America before concluding at One Daytona. This point-to-point course is designed to be fast and flat, with minimal elevation changes, making it an attractive option for those seeking a personal best.
With a growing field that has recently seen around 531 finishers, the race draws participants from across the country. While the repeat-runner loyalty is around 15%, the unique start and historic city tour provide a memorable experience for all. Participants can also opt for a relay option, adding a team dynamic to the event.
