The Experience

The Museum of Aviation Half Marathon, held on Robins Air Force Base, offers a unique running experience adjacent to one of the U.S. Air Force's largest aviation museums. Now in its 31st year, this event has become a fixture, drawing participants from around 14 states.

The course is a certified, flat loop, making it a prime candidate for personal bests and a potential Boston Marathon qualifier for the full marathon. Runners can expect a straightforward, fast path through the base, with typical March weather providing cool temperatures for racing.

With a median field size of around 336 finishers, the race maintains a community feel while still offering competitive awards. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Museum of Aviation, adding a charitable element to the day. Participants receive a t-shirt, and half marathoners are awarded a finisher's medal.
