The course is predominantly flat, with a significant portion tracing the scenic Ohio River. While parts may venture through industrial areas, the overall route is praised for its ease and potential for fast times, though a few reviews mention occasional course marking issues that have added unexpected distance.
Runners appreciate the well-organized event, easy access to downtown parking and hotels, and decent crowd support. The finish in downtown Evansville is a highlight, often accompanied by a festive atmosphere and appreciated perks like quality shirts and medals.
