Michigan Monster Dash

The Michigan Monster Dash returns for its 6th year to Kensington Metropark, offering a mostly flat and scenic half-marathon along the shores of Kent Lake. Starting at picturesque Maple Beach, runners follow the flattest possible route through the park, with wooded surroundings providing a peaceful backdrop. This family-friendly Halloween tradition combines a relaxed atmosphere with the beauty of a Michigan autumn.

With a median field of around 170 finishers and participants from about 10 states, the race maintains an intimate, community feel. About 14% of runners return year after year, drawn by the well-organized event and the supportive, low-key vibe.
