The Experience
The Trinity Health Probility Ann Arbor Marathon, now in its 16th running, invites runners to "Run Tree Town" while supporting the "E-Race the Stigma" initiative. This event offers a variety of distances, from a 5K to a full marathon, making it accessible for all levels of participants.
The course begins in downtown Ann Arbor, guiding runners through the vibrant city streets before venturing onto the picturesque University of Michigan campus. The longer distances, including the half and full marathons, extend to scenic stretches along the Huron River and through Gallup Park and Nichols Arboretum, showcasing the natural beauty of the area before returning to a downtown finish.
This USATF-certified course is a qualifier for both the Boston and New York City Marathons, attracting runners from across the country. With a median field size of around 1,500 finishers, the event offers a chance to explore Ann Arbor's local culture, from its independent shops to its museums, making it a worthy destination race.

THE PROBILITY ANN ARBOR MARATHON Take to the scenic streets of Ann Arbor to help E-Race the Stigma with the 16th running of the Trinity Health Probility Ann Arbor Marathon. With a variety of running events that appeal to all ages and abilities, you’ll find that the Ann Arbor Marathon is your ideal fall race event, whether you’re walking your first 5K or running your 50th marathon. RUN TREE TOWN. All distance events — marathon, marathon relay, half marathon, 10K, and 5K — start in downtown Ann Arbor at 209 S Ashley St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. Run through the vibrant streets of downtown Ann Arbor, then wind your way through the panoramic University of Michigan campus. The marathon, half-marathon, and 10K courses also encompass stretches along the Huron River and Gallup Park and through Nichols Arboretum before returning to campus and downtown. All races end with a spectacular downtown finish. The Ann Arbor Marathon course is USATF certified and serves as a qualifier for both the Boston and New York Marathons.
