UP Health System Great Bear Chase

The UP Health System Great Bear Chase Ski Marathon includes these events: 52 kilometer skiathlon20 kilometer skiathlon52 kilometer freestyle52 kilometer classic24 kilometer freestyle24 kilometer classic10 kilometer freestyle10 kilometer classic3 and 6 kilometer Para NordicJunior Bear Chase races of 1km, 2km, and 4km Races are held at the Swedetown ski trails in Calumet, Michigan, which receives more than 230 inches of snow each year. The Great Bear Chase includes a post-race pasty luncheon, a Great Bear Chase hat, overall and age-group awards, door prizes, and other swag. The race is known for its laid-back, friendly atmosphere.
