Log Run Half Marathon

The Log Run Half Marathon winds through the picturesque St. Croix Valley, offering a predominantly downhill course that finishes in the heart of downtown Stillwater, Minnesota. This race is celebrated as a prime opportunity for setting personal records, with its net drop and fast profile.

First run in 2023 and now in its second edition, the Log Run has quickly become a favorite for its potential for fast times. While the median field size is around 524 finishers, recent editions have seen nearly 600 participants, with a growing trend and runners traveling from approximately 26 states. The atmosphere is bolstered by a dedicated core of return runners, though the repeat-runner rate is around 7%.

While some runners appreciate the charm of Stillwater and the fast course, others have noted that the scenery could be more varied and that race logistics, such as busing to the start and traffic management on course, could be improved.
