2027 Biggest Little Half Marathon, 10K & 5K

The Biggest Little Half begins in the middle of downtown Reno, follows the Truckee River out of the city, and loops through west Reno's neighborhoods and parks before returning to the center. For 2026 the race rolls out an entirely new course, but the shape of the day stays familiar: city streets, river path, and a finish back where it all started.

This is a race that has steadily built a following. Recent editions have drawn around 1,800 finishers, up from a median closer to 1,300 across nine runnings, with runners arriving from roughly 22 states. Nearly one in five come back for another year.

Flat and USATF certified, the half is built for quick times — the winning mark sits near 72 minutes — and race-day weather, typically somewhere between 40 and 64°F with negligible rain and low humidity, tends to cooperate. Reno's running community turns out along the route, and the return to downtown gives the morning a proper finish. Add a 10K and 5K on the same day, and the whole city gets a share of it.
