2026 Summerlin Half Marathon

The Summerlin Half Marathon is a modest but well-regarded race that unfolds in the planned community of Summerlin, on the western edge of Las Vegas. With a median field of around 330 finishers and a recent field of about 276, it's an intimate affair where you're never lost in a crowd. Runners come from roughly 13 states, drawn by the promise of a fast course and the novelty of racing in the desert.

The course is flat and paved, making it a favorite for those chasing a personal best. The typically dry, cool morning weather—temperatures in the 40s and low 50s—creates ideal running conditions. The route winds through Summerlin's suburban streets, offering a glimpse of local life and the surrounding desert landscape. With a winning time around 75 minutes, the front of the pack is competitive, but the atmosphere remains welcoming.

What the race lacks in size, it makes up for in heart. The low-key vibe and community support give it a charm that bigger races often miss. Whether you're a local looking for a speedy half or a traveler seeking a different kind of Vegas experience, Summerlin delivers a satisfying, no-frills race day.
