2027 Clarence DeMar Marathon

The Clarence Demar Marathon in Keene, New Hampshire, is a tribute to the legendary runner who won the Boston Marathon seven times. First run in 2015, this event has grown into a beloved fixture, drawing approximately 343 finishers in recent years, with about 23% returning annually.

Runners from around 30 states make the journey to this New England gem. The course is USATF-certified and designed for speed, featuring a net drop and significant start/finish separation that hints at a point-to-point design, making it a potential PR course. While the official elevation gain and loss are minimal, the course is noted for its scenic qualities and fun atmosphere.

The race typically takes place in pleasant autumn conditions, with temperatures ranging from 52–68°F, creating an ideal environment for runners aiming for a fast time or simply enjoying the community spirit.
