Sri Chinmoy New Year's Day Half-Marathon

Start the New Year right - with a Half-Marathon! The Sri Chinmoy New Year's Day Half-Marathon features a scenic, flat and fast loop around historic Flushing Meadows Corona Park.  9AM start. PERKS & AMENITIES: Free parking, bag check, aid stations every mile, custom race shirts, custom finisher medals, free finisher photos, and our famous post-race pancake breakfast!   REGISTRATION AND FEES: Want to race this one for FREE?  It's easy - register here on RunSignup, then refer friends and family to earn your registration back!  How it works >> All prices now INCLUDE processing fees: $51.20 through Dec. 4 $59.45 through Dec. 22 $66.65 through Dec. 30, 5PM No race-day registration.  Entries cannot be transferred to another person.   THE COURSE A scenic, "pancake flat" and fast USATF certified 1.27-mile loop starting near the intersection of Ave. of Commerce and Ave. of Progress, passing the iconic World's Fair Unisphere, Queens Museum of Art and Fountain of the Planets. Half-Marathon = one 0.35-mile start loop + ten 1.27-mile loops   RACE PACKET SHIPPING Choose Packet Shipping when registering ($7.45), to avoid the lines on race day and have your shirt and bib delivered to your door before the race. Available through Dec. 18.  Packets will ship out en masse on Dec. 20. Otherwise, packet pickup is available at the race site from 8-8:45AM.   RACE SHIRTS Custom long-sleeve tops are the giveaway for this race. Shirt sizes are: Women's Fitted: Small through X-Large, Unisex: X-Small through 2XL. Please note: to cut down on waste, we no longer guarantee sizes by over-ordering. Having said that, sizes are guaranteed for runners that select packet shipping, and we also do our very best to provide shirts for those picking up on race day.  Typically, more than 90% of runners receive the size they selected.   AWARDS Men’s and Women’s awards categories: Under 50: Top 7 50-59: Top 3 60-69: Top 2 70 & over: First Place Awards Ceremony at 11:30AM Custom medals for all finishers!   PANCAKE BREAKFAST Hot pancakes are even more enjoyable when they’re earned, and we’re cooking them up fresh for everyone on race day!   TIME LIMITS 3 hours, or a 13:45/mile minimum pace.
