The Brooklyn Fall Half

This summer half marathon takes place on the iconic Coney Island boardwalk, a venue steeped in the history of "America's first playground." Runners tackle a 13.1-mile course, also offering 10K and 5K options, with the unique challenge of navigating the historic wooden planks.

The course is a ~4.37-mile loop completed three times, offering spectators ample opportunities to cheer from the famously fan-friendly boardwalk. While the proximity to the beach and amusement park provides a vibrant backdrop, be prepared for full sun exposure and potentially uneven surfaces, as noted by runners. Post-race, participants can enjoy a cold plunge in the ocean, ride the amusement park attractions, or savor Brooklyn's renowned bagels.

With a median field size of around 200 finishers and editions dating back to 2018, this race offers a distinctive summer running experience. Participants receive a T-shirt and finisher's medal, with awards for top finishers and age groups.
