The Experience
A chip-timed race through beautiful Flushing Meadow Corona Park on a mostly flat and paved surface with few turns and long straightaways that provide you with views of NYC, the Unisphere, giant athletic statues, and a lake over a 3.27 mile loop that the HALF MARATHON athletes will complete 4 times and a 1.55 mile loop that 10K athletes will complete 4 times and 5K athletes will complete twice....for maximum fan support! Leave your valuables with the race team at the start. Flushing Meadow Corona Park is the heart of Queens, runners from all over the world come here for an experience that locals cherish. Be prepared to experience this place for your first time or umpteenth time with the challenge of our times. The race will include support on the course, water, Gatorade, and power gels, distributed at several points so that you can access these at approximately every mile. Multiple splits provided throughout to assure adherence to the course and provide you and your fans with real-time updates on your progress. Livestreamed on YouTube and live tracking to see your progress online. Pictures in front of the unisphere and the Rocket Thrower and the best bagels around. Distance and course adjustments are possible if heat levels are too high beginning with decreasing the half marathon to a ten miler. Additionally, timers will allow you to switch distances after you start so that if it’s too hot you can switch to a shorter distance and still be scored. Afterward, pick up your unique runner's jersey and finishers medal. A great time to go the distance in a beautiful setting, perfect for your summer running regimen.
