The Experience

UltraTrax Greek Peak unfolds in the hardwood forests and rolling ridges of Cortland, NY, offering a single-day endurance walk that is as much about the journey as the distance. The course threads along shaded single-track, dips through creek-cut valleys, and climbs steady ridge lines with occasional glimpses of the Finger Lakes foothills. Walkers, hikers, and ruckers share the trail, each choosing their own challenge: 7, 14, 21, or 28 miles, all with a generous 10-hour cutoff.

The atmosphere is supportive and low-key—this is a timed event, not a race, where the pack moves together and volunteers staff well-stocked aid stations along the extremely well-marked route. Complimentary parking and morning bib pickup keep logistics simple. At the finish, participants receive a custom t-shirt and velcro patch; those who tackle the weighted-vest categories (10, 20, or 35 lbs) earn the coveted UltraTrax Grey Wolf medal. Post-race refreshments and food cap the day. Whether you’re looking to walk your first long distance or push a loaded ruck, Greek Peak’s forest trails deliver a rewarding, focused experience.
