Race-provided description
We can't wait to share this beautiful NC State Park with you! Get ready to add a new Eastern Carolina trail event to your fall calendar! These beginner friendly trails are highlighted with boardwalks and Spanish Moss. The barely rolling terrain allows for PR's in every distance. This event will feature a 10K Hike, 10K Race, Half Marathon Race, and a 50K Race! All races will be timed and all finishers who sign up in time will earn a sustainable wood medal. Trail distances are not exact. Our 10K is a little long and our Half has been a little short on most watches. This year the Half will have a short out and back to make sure everyone gets the distance. (Wouldn't want to mess up anyone's Strava goals) The Start/Finish is at the back of the park near the river beach access. Check in/cash only sign up(limited spots available) is as follows: 50k 8:00 am to 8:45 am (starts at 9:) Hike, 10k, Half 8:15 am to 9:15 am (starts at 9:30) No early packet pickup but feel free to message if you have any questions.
