Andy Payne 1/2 Marathon, 5K, Fun Run and Virtual Run

The Andy Payne Rt 66 Half Marathon, 5K, Fun Run and Virtual Run honors Cherokee Nation citizen Andy Payne, who won the International Trans-Continental Footrace, commonly referred to at the Bunion Derby, in 1928. The race covered a total of 3,423 miles along Route 66 from Los Angeles to New York City.  This year's 1/2 Marathon will start at the Andy Payne Memorial Park and end at the Claremore Museum of History (MoH). The 5K will start at Claremore Lake and likewise end at the MoH. The Fun Run will occur at the Andy Payne Race Track at Claremore High School. The Awards Ceremony at the MoH will be a fun-filled event with free massages for runners, nutritious drinks, food trucks, selfie spots, popcorn, snacks and more! Visitors can view the Andy Payne Exhibit inside and take a photo with the Andy Payne statue in our new Legacy Gardens. Thank you for joining us at the Andy Payne Route 66 1/2 Marathon, 5K, Fun Run and Virtual Run! The course is USATF sanctioned and certified with electronic timing by Tatur Racing. Participation Medals will be awarded to paid participants in the 1/2 Marathon, 5K, Fun Run and Virtual Run.  Schedule   6:30 AM  Registration and packet pickup   7:45 AM  Same-day registration ends   8:30 AM  Half Marathon starting at the Andy Payne Statue in Foyil   9:00 AM  5K starting at Claremore Lake   9:00 AM  One Mile Fun Run starting at the Andy Payne Track at Claremore High School 11:30 AM  Award presentation at the Claremore Museum of History Shirt Information Registration for a guaranteed T-shirt closes at midnight on March 15. Shirts are not guaranteed when registering after this date, and we will not exchange shirt sizes. Virtual Race Runners who sign up for the virtual race by midnight on March 15 are guaranteed a shirt. T-shirts will be mailed after race day. Packet Pick-up Packet pickup begin on Friday, April 10, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Claremore Museum of History, located at 121 N. Weenonah Avenue, Claremore, OK 74017. All paid registration runners will receive a bib, swag items and race t-shirt. To avoid lines on race day, pick up your packet and swag on Friday at the Claremore Museum of History. You can also purchase a vintage Andy Payne Race tank top jersey or Andy Payne ball cap that will benefit the race event for next year. Please look for these on display or on the Claremore Museum of History’s website, www.claremoremoh.org. Participants will be bussed to the starting locations for both the 1/2 Marathon and 5K runs.  Shuttle location will be at the parking lot of First Baptist Church in Claremore which is next to the Claremore Museum of History at 121 N Weenonah Ave and the race end point.
