The Armstrong County Turkey Trot, a community-focused event organized by Miles of Smiles Timing Service and the Richard G Snyder YMCA, brings runners together for a festive Thanksgiving morning. The half marathon kicks off at 9 am, followed by the 5K at 9:30 am.
Runners can expect a flat, paved course with minimal elevation change, ideal for a brisk autumn run. The event aims to spread joy and happiness, offering finisher turkey medals to all participants, cash prizes for overall male and female winners, and age group awards. Post-race, participants can enjoy food and refreshments inside the YMCA, which also houses bathrooms and registration facilities.

Miles of Smiles Timing Service has teamed up with the Richard G. Snyder YMCA to have an annual Armstrong County Turkey Trot. This is a community event to bring joy and happiness to everyone in the spirit of Thanksgiving. We hope you participate or volunteer and enjoy the morning with us!! 🕰️ 🕰️ The Half Marathon starts at 9:00 am and the 5K starts at 9:30 am. There is also a Kids Race at 8:55 for those 10 & Under. 🏅 🦃 Turkey-themed Finisher Medals for Everyone!! 💰 💰 $50 Cash prize for Half Marathon Overall male and female winners. Age Group awards for both the Half Marathon and 5K. 🍔 🍪 We will also have food after the race. 💧🥛 Water stops on the course and water at the finish line. 👕 👕 We have a Tech Shirt option for $5 extra. Some runners like the more breathable shirts. This is the 8th race of the Miles of Smiles Race Series. 🗺️🗺️ The course will be an out & back on the flat and fast Armstrong Trail which runs along the scenic Allegheny River.
