2026 Springmaid Road Race

Now in its 24th year, the Springmaid Road Race has grown into a beloved local tradition in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The race takes runners through the scenic Anne Springs Close Greenway, a 2,100-acre nature preserve with wooded trails, rolling hills, and peaceful lake views. Though the field is intimate—around 57 finishers—the event draws runners from four states, and about 12% return year after year, a testament to its charm.

The course is a true trail half marathon, winding along dirt paths and grassy singletrack. The terrain is rolling, with enough elevation to keep things interesting but nothing too punishing.
