Haven Half

The Haven Half is a true trail experience, primarily run on the single-track Centennial Trail within the Black Hills National Forest. Runners navigate varied terrain, following Brush Creek through meadows bursting with wildflowers and wild raspberries, before ascending through Ponderosa Pine forests and open grasslands.

The course presents a significant challenge, with approximately 4,500 feet of total elevation gain, winding through riparian zones and the open Bald Hills. Aid stations are strategically placed about every 3.5 miles, ensuring support throughout this demanding run. The race consistently draws participants from across the country, with a strong repeat runner rate reflecting its enduring appeal. As a well-established event, it has cultivated a loyal following over its years of operation.
