The Experience

Go the distance with Fleet Feet Knoxville and ASICS!  This Fall, we have a 12-week training program to get you ready for the iconic Loop Lope 10 Miler in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park on Sunday, November 8th! Challenge yourself along the way and join the Veterans Salute 5k and 10k on November 7th and the Secret City Half Marathon on November 14th- your goal race options are many and we are here to help you achieve all your goals. Please note that there are 30 guaranteed spots into Loop Lope. These will be secured by registration order - first come, first serve. You do not have to participate in the goal races to join the program. Training program fee does not include goal race entry fees. Training for a big race takes more than logging miles. It takes a smart plan, the right support and people who know how to help you run steady through the tough weeks and the good ones too.  That’s what you’ll find in Fleet Feet Knoxville's Long Distance Training Program in partnership with ASICS.  With two supported workouts each week, training tiers to suit your needs and running coaches who bring real expertise to every step, you’ll have what you need to train with purpose and finish with confidence.  This isn't just about finishing a race. It’s about discovering what you’re capable of with the right people beside you every step of the way.  Take a look below to find the program that works best for you! For the Half Marathon (13.1 miles) and 10 Miler: you should be able to run/walk 5 miles comfortablyFor the 10k (6.1 - 7 miles): you should be able to run/walk 2 miles comfortablyBi-weekly Coach-led Sessions - able to meet Tuesday evenings and Saturday morningsSingle Coach-led Session - able to meet Saturday mornings Start Date: Week of Monday, August 24th Q&A Session: Thursday, August 13th at 6:00pm or Thursday, August 20th at 6:00pm. Join us after each Information Session for an open group run. 2 Gear-Up Weeks:  The first 2 weeks of training, all participants receive in-store discounts on any gear needed to get ready to train - from footwear to bras to hydration. Training participants receive exclusive ASICS savings, as well! Workouts: Tuesdays at 6:30 PM and Saturdays at 7:00 AM starting the week of Aug 24th.  Additional training opportunities are available by joining us for our Open Group Runs on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. Target Race:   Loop Lope 10 Miler on Sunday, November 8th. Additional Options -  Veteran Salute 10k/5k on November 7th or Secret City Half Marathon on November 14th. Complete all three goal races and receive a special commemorative gift!
