39th Annual Cox Running Club Lake Benbrook Half Marathon, 10K, & 5KPresented by Cox Running ClubCox Running Club is proud to bring back one of the most historic running events in the DFW Metroplex! After several years of lower participation, we seriously considered retiring this event. However, we believe some traditions are worth fighting for. Instead of canceling, we have decided to challenge ourselves, rebuild the race, and bring new energy to one of the oldest and most meaningful running events in North Texas. The Lake Benbrook Half Marathon is recognized as the oldest half marathon in the DFW Metroplex, and we are excited to continue that legacy on Saturday, January 23, 2027. For 2027, we are not only bringing back the Half Marathon and 5K, but we are also adding a brand-new 10K distance. Whether you are training for a spring race, looking for a scenic winter run, or simply want to be part of a long-standing DFW running tradition, this event is for you.
