Pandora's Box of Rox

Set on the rugged, scenic trails of Reveille Peak Ranch near Burnet, Texas, Pandora's Box of Rox is a trail classic that’s been drawing runners for over a decade. Now in its 10th edition, this late-April event offers distances from a mile to a double marathon, with the half-marathon drawing a dedicated crowd of about 167 runners from 4 states. About 10% of participants return year after year, a sign of the race’s loyal following and the allure of its challenging, rocky terrain.

The course winds through the Texas Hill Country on single-track and ranch roads, with enough elevation change to test your legs and reward you with expansive views. The atmosphere is low-key and community-driven—this is a locally owned and operated race where volunteers and fellow runners cheer you on. The finish line brings a sense of accomplishment, cool swag, and the satisfaction of tackling a true trail adventure.
