2027 Woodlands Marathon

Since its revival in 2012, The Woodlands Marathon half-marathon has become a fixture in the Houston area, drawing roughly 2,500 finishers from 34 states. The point-to-point, USATF-certified course is almost perfectly flat, with a slight net downhill that makes it ideal for speed. Runners wind through the wooded streets of The Woodlands, enjoying mild February weather that typically sits between 53 and 71°F.

The race has cultivated strong loyalty — 23% of runners return in later years — and a community-first ethos: over $1.3 million has been raised for local nonprofits. With a growing field (recently nearly 3,000 finishers) and a typical winning time of 68:11, it offers a rare blend of small-town feel and big-race efficiency.
