The Experience

The Tri-Cities Marathon, first run in 2002 and now in its 20th year, presents a largely flat and fast course that winds through Richland, WA. This USATF-certified race is designed for speed, with a minimal net drop and only 1% separation between the start and finish, making it a prime candidate for personal bests. The event typically sees around 75 finishers, drawing participants from about six states.

Runners can expect a well-supported race day, with aid stations every two miles along the 21.1km route. The typical race-day weather in October offers cool, crisp conditions, averaging between 43–59°F. Participants receive a T-shirt, a finisher's medal, and chip timing as part of their entry fee, which also covers full course support.
