The Experience
The Cudahy Classic kicks off with a cross-country start across grass before hitting the Oak Leaf Trail, a paved path that hugs the Lake Michigan shoreline. The course is two laps of a mostly flat and fast layout, offering runners stunning views of the lake and the Milwaukee skyline. Sheridan Park provides a charming backdrop as you loop through.
This year, the ten-mile event serves as the RRCA Wisconsin State Championship, drawing competitive runners alongside those just in it for the fun. The atmosphere is community-driven, with the Pompeii Men's Club grilling up fresh sausages at the finish line. Additional sausages are available for purchase, but one comes free with every entry—a savory reward after a smooth, fast run.

The Cudahy Classic is one of the Badgerland Striders' Premiere running events of the summer. The race features a cross-country style start leading runners to the Oak Leaf Trail. The ten-mile event is two laps of a mostly flat and fast course, with the shorter five-mile event as a nice complement for those looking for less distance. Enjoy the charm of Sheridan Park as well as the stunning views of Lake Michigan and downtown Milwaukee. We are continuing our partnership with the Pompeii Men's Club, another Milwaukee area non-profit group! A tasty, freshly cooked sausage will await you at the finish line. Want more than one? Additional sausages can be purchased at checkout. New this year, the Cudahy Classic Ten-Mile event is the RRCA state of Wisconsin 10-mile State Championship event. There are awards for the first Female and Male in the Open division, the 40+ division, the 50+ division and the 60+ division. There is also a $50 cash prize for each of these winners.
