Another great weekend of racing is in the books. Whether you were toeing the line for your very first half marathon or chasing down a new personal best, the energy out on the course is what keeps this community moving forward. The miles are always tough, but crossing that finish line makes the early morning alarms and long training blocks completely worth it. This week, we are looking at the numbers and standout performances from a massive weekend of running in New York.

Syracuse Half Marathon

The 2026 Syracuse brought an incredible crowd to upstate New York. A total of 4,854 runners crossed the finish line, representing 35 different states. It is always inspiring to see a field this large, packed with runners at every stage of their half marathon journey. From locals running their hometown streets to travelers checking off another state on their fifty-state adventure, the community showed up in full force.

At the front of the pack, Nicholas Ryan from Fayetteville, New York, broke the tape. He secured the win with a finish time of 1:07:16, holding a blistering 5:08 per mile pace. Fellow Fayetteville runner Jared Burdick also delivered a standout performance, crossing the line shortly after in 1:08:58.

Beyond the lead pack, the heart of the race was moving at a strong, steady clip. The median finish time for the day was 2:07:52, showing a deep field of dedicated runners putting in the work. That median time represents thousands of individual stories, training plans, and personal victories out on the course.
