This Saturday: Two to Choose From
Two races hit the pavement on July 18 — one in the Heart of Dixie, one in the Natural State.
- Run Magic City — Birmingham, Alabama. A downtown course with Southern hospitality.
- Heatwave Half Marathon - Little Rock — North Little Rock, Arkansas. The name says it all — bring your hydration plan.
Late July: Maryland and Minnesota
Two more options if you need an extra week to taper:
- MCRRC Riley's Rumble Half Marathon — Boyds, Maryland. July 26. A trail-heavy course through Seneca Creek State Park.
- Urban Wildland Half Marathon & 5K — Richfield, Minnesota. July 25. Flat and fast — a great tune-up for fall marathons.
Rolling Into August
August brings big fields and bucket-list scenery:
- Goodyear Half Marathon & 10k — Akron, Ohio. August 8. A rubber-themed race through the birthplace of the Goodyear blimp.
- Anchorage RunFest — Anchorage, Alaska. August 15. Midnight sun vibes and a coastal trail run.
- Parkersburg News and Sentinel Half Marathon — Parkersburg, West Virginia. August 15. A historic point-to-point along the Ohio River.
Can’t-Miss in Illinois
- Run Mahomet — Mahomet, Illinois. July 31. A small-town gem with a fast, shaded course through Lake of the Woods.
